  1. First, have a talk with your child so you can explain to them the importance of sleep. This will make them more eager to follow your rules.

  3. It's very important to follow a strict sleeping schedule, even on the weekends, so they can get used to waking up and going to bed at the same time every day.
  4. You should also create a bedtime routine for your child: they should have dinner, brush their teeth, have a shower, put their pajamas on, and hop into bed each night.
  5. It's also necessary that you establish rules so your child can sleep well. E.g.: they should avoid screens an hour before bedtime, and they shouldn't have heavy, spicy, sugary, or caffeinated drinks/meals late at night.
  6. Finally, set an environment conducive to restful nights: a clean, dark room that's set to 70ºF, and that has a comfy, ergonomic mattress that's equipped with pillows and blankets.
